Essen & Trinken

Breakfast in Vienna: Café Telegraph | Restaurant Review

Advertising, not comissioned

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, we were taught earlier. That this is a myth has been proven. Nevertheless, I love to have breakfast or brunch, preferably with friends in a café. Vienna has an incredibly wide range of unique restaurants and cafes and I’ve tried one for you: Café Telegraph.

Location & ambience of Café Telegraph

It is located in the 9th district, not far from the Votivkirche, and can therefore be comfortably reached from the center. The location can be described as cozy-stylish, with a touch of hipster. The large lamp on the ceiling turns out to be a bronze-colored clock and the window sills are designed as cozy sitting areas.

Eat & Drink

Culinarily it’s something for everyone. You can have breakfast until 14:00, which is a dream for late risers like me. The breakfast is as varied as the rest of the food and there is even a separate avocado section. In addition to the normal offer, there is a slightly cheaper weekly menu. My choice fell on a vegan acai bowl that lived up to expectations. Stylish thanks to pretty dishes and loving preparation.

Drinks range from coffees to chai-latte varieties with funny names to juices and alcoholic beverages. My chai-latte elephant-vanilla was very good and not too sweet.

The staff of Café Telegraph is very nice, if a bit chaotic. No wonder, as full as the cafe is regularly. So instead of the stuffed zucchini with minced meat we got the vegetarian option and the empty dishes remained longer than necessary on our table. However, this did not detract from the overall positive impression.

Summarized

The Café Telegraph is worth a visit and invites you to linger with the cozy decor and varied menu. In terms of price Viennese average, the friendliness of the waiters is above average. Those who are not in a hurry, are in good hands here.
