how to make your summer clothes ready for fall

Yes, we all have to admit it: the summer is gone, fall is here. But the last days have been pretty warm in beautiful Vienna. So, there is still no need to put the summer clothes away. I show you how to get your summer clothes ready for fall.

Of course, even when the sun is shining all day, we don’t get those super high and sweaty temperatures anymore. This means, if you still want to wear your summer wardrobe, maybe you should fiddle a little.

Summer clothes ready for fall trick 1: layering

This extremely short summer dress for example: why not wearing it right now? Because it has no sleeves, there is a simple trick, fashionistas all over the world doing it for a while now: layering. Just wear something with long sleeves under the dress.

Remember this weird trend from last winter?

This is basically the same thing. Last winter it was all about the silk dresses, which looked like a nightdress, but why not doing the exact same thing with every other dress?

Summer clothes ready for fall trick 2: keep legs warm and fancy

To keep my legs warm, I decided to wear a super comfy black legging, but you can also wear tights. Grab some fancy ones and you not only have a fall outfit, but also something people will look at. I picked some nice examples for you.

The Outfit

Finally: the coat. My example-outfit is black and white all over, so I chose something more colorful. The red of my coat fits perfectly to the fall-red of the leaves and the rest of my outfit reflects the grey fall-weather. At least in my eyes. You don’t have to be so philosophic about all this, you can also go black on black, in my opinion this is always classy.

So, my dear ones, I hope you have a smooth passage from summer to fall and maybe this post gave you some inspiration to wear your favorite dress a little longer 😉

Love ♥ Dorie

    LG Reni
