(English version below)

Ihr könnt also bald wieder einige frische Posts erwarten.

A lá Pegida und Co?

English Version

Somehow it is difficult this year with the consistently posting. Why it has been that quiet this week, I`ll tell you know in my weekly review #4. (And somehow this sentence sounds so damn wrong, but I can’t tell why 😀 )

Past

Like I told you in the weekly review #3 I got a cold. Naturally with these temperatures the last weeks. Somehow everybody is ill at the moment. At least this is, what I have been told. But I didn’t meet anybody who was ill. Maybe because sick people stay at home 😀

But not me of course, because there have been things on the TO-DO List where I have to go to, even when I am sick. For example to my job interview in Vienna, which was not bad at all. But now the Human Resources Lady is sick and I am not sure, if this is a point for me. Even when it’s maybe not my fault at all. 😀

And the next day I had to go back to Nuremberg. Vienna for one evening. And on our way there was ice rain for hours. Of course we had to use the heating full power all the time. Paradise for the viruses in my nose. They partied hard and knocked me out completely.

Nevertheless, I had to go to a routine-doctor’s appointment on Wednesday and afterwards to the accountant. Then I slept a lot and decided to be well again on Thursday. This almost worked, but I couldn’t make it to write the blog posts.

Today I used my almost-healthiness to shoot some pictures with my mom. Best partner in crime 😉 A luxury I enjoy when I stay in Nuremberg. So there will be some new posts the next time.

Future

Speaking of new posts: Hmm, I have a feeling, that I already said this one time this year. Those weekly reviews make my desk chaos really transparent. So let’s delete the last sentence. There will be new post. Someday.

On Thursday I will drive back to beautiful Vienna. And I will stay there for a while. Since I am back from Italy I never stayed at one place for more than a week. And so I still don’t have a daily routine. That’s annoying after a while. And I simply miss my wonderful Vienna. It’s time to spent more time with my favorite city.

Bought

Yes, I bought a few things, but of all things I couldn’t find a new winter jacket, what I really need. The one I have now is already old and not that what you would call „impeccable“. But the new ones from the collections now are also not impeccable. Too thin, too short, without hood, and most of all not my size. Is it only me? And also: are only downs really warm or do also those thin coats keep you warm, which everybody is wearing at the moment. So my „Asked“ column comes earlier:

Asked

  1. Do you have a tip for me for nice winter jackets?
  2. Do you have experiences with those beautiful winter coats, which are not seem to be warm at all? Or does every girl just freeze in them, like the motto: „Beauty knows no pain“?

Read

In the morning, while waking up, I always open the Spiegel App and read the news of the day. To have an overview of the daily topics. So that not everything is just passes by me, haha. This is by the way my reading tip for the week, for all the German readers. Just look at the German version for more info ↑

But what I really wanted to say with this is: as I read the headlines of the different articles, there was an apocalyptic mood. Quit the EU, quit the NATO, rightist on the rise, blood and thunder wherever you look. Sometimes I am angry than, that I informed myself and not just looked out of the window and being happy about my life. Do we really live in such a cruel world or is it just an illusion because of the fast and various media? Is the world going to end, or was it always like today, with the difference, that we simply didn’t know it? Is knowledge really power or is it just a way into pessimism? And can pessimism change anything or does it only destroy? A lá Pegida and so on?

And this was the philosophy-lesson with Dorie. I somehow spaced out a bit. But this was the feeling today in the morning. Is it just me?

Love ♥ Dorie

PS. And I also said goodbye to like one meter of spliss and now I have shorter hair again 🙂
